Reno Wish List

We call this our 30 year plan (using the word “plan” loosely as it is more of an extensive wish list). Some are small projects, others large and expensive, some necessary, others not at all. We’ll see what we get done over the years.

In no particular order:

• Hardwood throughout
• Convert lower-level washroom into mudroom
• Update all windows
• Finish basement;
  • room for Emma,
  • washroom,
  • laundry room,
  • tv/family room)
  • enlarge existing windows
• Create open concept in main living area (kitchen/dining room/living room)
• Remove old back door / add new french doors in place of existing window
• New kitchen
• Re-do electrical
• Paint throughout
• Get tankless water heater
• Refinish exterior of house
  • Paint door, trim, and shutters (that purple has to go!)
  • Change siding (this step includes redoing the insulation which is very ineffective at the moment)
• Re-point chimney
• *Build an addition (on top of existing living room) to include master bedroom and washroom)
• Widen driveway
• Main washroom remodel
• New trim throughout
• Custom closet organizers
• Add roof above entrance
• Insulate and seal garage
• Add french doors between entrance and living room
• Figure out railings

*Absolutely unnecessary, but we can dream right?!
